Do you think all credit card statement should have to show a "last date to pay at a bank" date on it....

...ie: should it be up to the customer to have to work out..[-what with weekends complicating the maths etc]..the last day on which they can pay the bill, and therefor avoid incurring a late payment charge...

or should the bank statement clearly state what date that day falls on?

do you think that the only reason a credit card company would not include that information on the stements it sends out, would be that the c.c.c would be be expecting to reap a harvest of late payment charges from its customers, and to include the info would be to lose an opportunity to extract more cash from its cardholders?|||Mine does have that info. It gives me last date for paying at a bank, online and posting. Useful info!|||my barclaycard statement does...and i think my next bill does too x|||Yes, certainly|||It does on my credit card statement. Still takes an age to clear though.|||because of circumstances beyond their control(ex: bank starts on fire) - they can't be reliable for everybodys excuses why it wasn't paid on time.

I personally think it should be left up to the customer to do the math- they tell you the date its due - and I think its up to the customer to decide when to send the payment.|||mine does-its called a due date-whats so complicated about that? Look on the calendar-figure it out!|||I think it works in a different way. Statements I receive show the information with an estimated time to make payment by different methods. It is your responsibility to ensure payment reaches the account on time. Its what you agree to when you open the account. The statements I see show clear dates..|||mine do, mastercard, when to pay online at bank post office or over the phone|||Every credit card statement has a due date on it. that is the last day to pay. Don't understand your problem. mail your check a week before that date, and you're good.
