If you sign a dec statement in the U.S. Army can you get out earlier than your ETS date if so how?

What steps would I need to take to get out early?|||What is a DEC statement?|||With or without a dec statement you can put in a DA 4187 requesting early release. If you received a bonus you can forget about it though. And you need to have a good reason. One of the best is that your current ETS date is a couple months after a college start date and you are already schedule to begin with that college.
